RWBY

Aha…ahaha it’s finally FINISHED! and with only two days to go!

I have spent the good part of the past two weeks doing this, I have no idea why I put so much time and effort into this but for some reason I just realllly had to do my very best on this. It’s the first time in probably two months or so that I’ve coloured a picture and boy did I feel rusty, it’s probably been even longer that I’ve drawn any full bodies too *sadface*.

But yes if you didn’t know who these ladies are they’re, going clockwise, Ruby, Yang, Weiss and Blake, the stars of the new show RWBY from Roosterteeth who are usually known for RvB. This poster was done for a contest of theirs, to create a movie styled poster for the show.

I did a lot of experimentation on this poster, trying out new ways of doing hair with Weiss and her majestic as all hell self and pretty much a lot of effects, like Wang’s fire puanch, the goddamn magic ring that refused to get into perspective for god knows how long and the snow which was surprisingly simple and now I also know how to make space backgrounds too. I also found out a cool setting for making clouds, it’s a bit rough in the poster but hopefully I’ll be able to refine the technique in the future.
